ince it was our first time using GarageBand we had to look at a couple of tutorials on how to use it before starting.





These were just 2 of many trailers on youtube which provided beginners like myself easy steps on how to use GarageBand effectively.

Creating the soundtrack for our trailer has been particularly hard; the changing pace throughout the trailer means that the music had to fit and finding the right sound to do that has been difficult.

I's and 1's

For the I’s and 1’s we had a specific signifier in mind. We created custom fonts so that the “I” in Incision and the 1’s in the release date were scalpel shaped in a red font colour.

Reflections

During the early stages of editing we found that a lot of our shots couldn’t be used. The final scenes of our trailer showed the detective walking up to his home. What we hadn’t noticed at the time was that the cameramen’s reflections could be seen. We had to rectify the problem quickly or risk having to do a complete reshoot of the final scenes. By using the low and high angle shots we’d taken, as a precaution, we were able to solve the problem and use more of the scenes we hadn’t planned to use but we captured at interesting angles.
